Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Build to Handoff collects, why, and what rights you have. It's written to be read, not to hide behind jargon.

Who is responsible for your data

Build to Handoff is run by Ragnar Stenseth (a sole proprietorship / enkeltpersonforetak registered in Norway). For anything in this policy — including to access, correct, or delete your data — contact hello@buildtohandoff.com. For data-protection purposes, Ragnar Stenseth is the data controller.

What we collect, and why

Your email address — when you sign up for the free Launch Checklist. We use it to send you the checklist you asked for, and to send occasional emails about building and delivering client-ready Framer websites (tips, resources, and updates). We only collect the email address you type in — nothing more.

Anonymous website analytics — our site is built and hosted on Framer, which includes privacy-first, cookie-free analytics. It measures aggregate statistics (page views, general country, device type) without cookies or any information that identifies you. It hashes visit data with a secret that rotates and is deleted every day, so there are no persistent identifiers and no personal profile of you is built.

Legal basis

We process your email on the basis of your consent, which you give by entering your email and submitting the signup form. You can withdraw it at any time — every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your data or share it for advertising. We use a few trusted providers to run the service:

• MailerLite — our email platform; stores your email and sends our emails on our behalf.

• Framer — hosts our website.

Both are based in, or transfer data to, the United States. When your data leaves the European Economic Area, these providers rely on legal safeguards for international transfers (such as Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework) and offer data-processing agreements.

Cookies and local storage

Because our analytics is cookie-free, our site doesn't need a cookie-consent banner, and we don't use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. The only thing we store in your browser is a small technical flag, saved after you sign up, so the download page knows to show you your checklist. It isn't used to track you.

How long we keep it

We keep your email for as long as you're subscribed. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, we remove it from our active list. We may keep a minimal record that you unsubscribed, only to make sure we don't email you again.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

• access the data we hold about you;

• correct it if it's wrong;

• delete it ("right to be forgotten");

• restrict or object to how we use it;

• withdraw consent at any time (unsubscribe, or email us);

• data portability — get a copy of your data.

To use any of these, email hello@buildtohandoff.com and we'll respond within a reasonable time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet, datatilsynet.no).

Children

Build to Handoff is meant for people building websites professionally. It isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your data, we'll update this page and the date above. Significant changes affecting your subscription will be communicated by email where appropriate.
